- Converted CellOne of Amarillo's instant text messaging system to a multiple-recipient and email capable program (this company is no longer in business).
- Wrote code for Best Robotics to allow participants to post competition questions and administrators to answer them.
- Wrote code for TexasBest to allow administrators to post competition winners to their Web site.
- Updated Bovine-Elite to allow the site owner to upload a MS Excel data file and individual images for each bull. Wrote a parser to handle the uploaded Excel file and copy the data into a database. Also write cgi-scripts to display the data for end users.
- Created an application for Nolan Ryan Beef to upload and display recipes.
- Created an application for GKG.NET, INC. to handle customer requests for hosting their Web site with GKG.
- Created an application for TAMU Medical School to handle scheduling of medical students with community preceptors. Also wrote code to dump student/preceptor evaluations into PDF format.
- Created an application for GKG.NET, INC. to work with HylaFAX software. The application enables GKG to utilize a single computer to collect all incoming faxes. A secretary then assigns each new fax to an employee's virtual box. Employees can view their faxes in a Web browser. The application also includes utilities for rotating, searching, adding comments to, and closing faxes, all via the browser interface.
- Have worked on many projects associated with the GKG.NET, INC. Domain Registration System.
- Wrote all the code for yourlocatoronline.com, an on-line vehicle classified marketplace.
- Created an application to help GKG Project Managers coordinate all work, communication, milestones, and billing for all internal and client projects.
- Developed a Virtual Classroom application for TAMU which will enable students to take exams on-line.
- Developed the new Web site for Agtimes.com that enables administrators to manage the site's content.
- Developed a Web site for OptionsDoctors.com, an on-line investment strategy company.
- Developed the code for the GKG Training Website.
- Developed the code for the Texas Pecan Grower's Association.
- Customized GKG's Radius server, which allows GKG to provide extra services to their dialup customers. This customization also included helping GKG set up database replication so the Radius data can be shared across several servers.
- Worked on code for CC Creations Online which will enable their clients to place on-line orders for custom apparel.

All applications are written in Perl, mod_perl and pHp, use MySQL or PostgreSQL as the back-end database, and run on a Red-Hat Linux operating system with Apache web server. The position with GKG was 100% telecommuting.

- Personal Scheduler - This Internet application allows attendees to schedule a personal itinerary for the biannual meetings. Also wrote a "masseuse" to convert the meeting data, which contains LaTeX code and is dumped from a 4th Dimension database, into HTML format.
- I-Timer - A Web-based timesheet program for MRS employees. This comprehensive application has a full administrative front-end and includes a) multiple access levels, b) a dynamic report generator, and c) email notification.
- Abstract pre-processor - MRS members who wish to submit abstracts for consideration for future meetings can post their papers via this application. It includes a LaTeX and high-ascii grokker, and submits the information to the 4th Dimension database.
I was the senior developer on all aspects of these projects. All these applications were written in Perl for a Solaris O/S, and used MySQL as the back-end database.

Contracted out to Marconi p.l.c. (formerly FORE Systems) in Warrendale, Pa. Wrote Perl (Solaris O/S) code to enable administrators to post press releases and handle archiving on the marconi.com Web site. Designed an Oracle 7 database to store the press releases.

December 1997 - March 1999 - Contracted out to the National Technology Transfer Center on the campus of Wheeling Jesuit University. NASATechTracS Database administrator (4th Dimension); worked on a team that developed the 1998 edition of the NASA Solutions CD-ROM; developed applications in C++ for data manipulation to dump NASATechTracS to a BRS database format.
